Our Mission

The heart of Oaklawn Baptist Church's existence is to introduce men, women, boys, and girls to Jesus.  We believe that Jesus is the need of every soul.  It is our conviction that Jesus is the most important need of both the young and old.  We believe that salvation and a deep commitment to the teaching of God's Word will produce Joy in your heart, security in your life, and success in your home.

What We Believe

1. Man is a sinner who needs forgiveness – Romans 3:23
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.”

2. Jesus is the only Savior – Acts 4:12
“Neither is there salvation in any other: For there is none other name under heaven given among mean, whereby we must be saved.”

3. The Bible is God’s Infallible Word – II Timothy 3:16-17
“All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.”

4. Heaven and Hell, the eternal destines of the Souls of Men
     a. Heaven, Home of the Saved – Matthew 25:34
-“Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepare for you from the foundation of the world.”

 b. Hell, Home of the Lost – Matthew 25:44
-“Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angles.”

5. The Soon Coming of Jesus – Matthew 24:27
“For as the lightning cometh out of the east and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the son of man be: (a) to judge the wicked. (b) to reward the faithful.”

We, with joy, invite you to come with us and drink of the water of life freely.

“And the spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
